So the question is what drive the people
to choose Ubud for their honeymoon or family holiday?
Of course of its charm and its physical beauty. It can
fulfil most one's desire e.i. serenity, tipical, rich
in art and culture, friendly people, good shopping and
dine, colorful religious ceremony and the stunning panorama
of river, gorge terraced ricefield and many kind of
tropical vegetations.
Rich in history, the Tjampuhan valley became the focal
point of Bali's artistic community when in 1934, the
Prince of Ubud, Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati, joined
with celebrated Western artists Walter Spies and Rudolf
Bonnet to create an artists' association they named
Pita Maha. "Pita
Maha" in English translates to "Great Shining".
In 1994, to commemorate the birth of this artistic force
and to keep alive the original philosophy, The Pita
Maha Resort was created and opened its doors on 01 December
1995.
At the Pita Maha Resort and
Spa, luxury has been refined to an art form.
From the discreet lobby which opens on to commanding
views of the beautiful Oos river valley to the private
villa spa nestled deep in the hillside, every aspect
of this tranquil resort is aimed at providing guests
with the most rewarding experience Bali can offer.
The
resort, designed by a member of Ubud's Royal family,
lives and breathes as an organic Balinese village, with
24 villas set in traditionally styled walled compounds
which provide the ultimate in comfort and privacy. Most
villas enjoy a private pool and enclosed garden, four
with two-storey facilities to suit families. All are
appointed to an extremely high standard, with private
bar, air-conditioning, satellite TV and other modern
conveniences.
The centerpiece of the resort, the Private Villa Spa,
offers a complete range of health treatments, all provided
in the most exquisite surroundings, including a eight-metre
private pool and spring water plunge pool.
P.S:: When in
Bali be a Balinese. At Pita Maha Resort &
Spa you can enjoy all sort of contemporary
amenities and local genious. You can order tipically
Balinese delicaies prepared by our welltrained chef.
Everywhere in the resort resembles a traditional Balinese
compound, you are surrounded with quality local materials
as teak woods, bricks, cut stones, bamboo, soft fabrics
and perfumed blossom at the landscaped garden. The roofs
of the villas made of alang-alng grass (the popular
grass for roofs contruction) keeps out the tropical
heat in a way that genteng(stone tiles) cannot. It also
provides excellent protection from the tropical deluges
that common during the rainy season.
