the eastern part of Bali.

a masterpiece of nature. Age old community rice farming
blends carefully manicured terraced rice fields with
the lush Tropical forest. Towering volcanic peaks afford
spectacular views of the deep ravines.

Manggis, the easternmost district of Karangasem, allowing
first hand insights of this island paradise. Holding
sites of diverse touristic interest, such as the historic
remains of the Royal Water Palace at Tirtagangga, and
the village of Tenganan, a walled-in borne to the original
Balinese, the Bali Aga community just a few minutes
drive from the botel. Natural landscapes of Sidemen
and Iseh are a source of artistic inspiration. Trekking
through the terraced rice paddies in the very region
of of Manggis and L nearby world renowned diving site
at Tulamben where the USS Liberty sunk during WWII are
experience not to be missed
Puri Bagus Manggis is a haven of tranquility amidst
true Balinese village life. Built in traditional architectural
style, this original family compound has been transformed
into 7 exquisite guestrooms. The thatched roof of the
dining room blends with the natural scenery allowing

religious ceremonies.
The swimming pool, set amongst the rice paddies and
orchid garden along with the unobtrusive hospitality
of the Balinese staff completes this ultimate experience.
